1. “OMG! Radicals so close to us, right here
in Singapore”
Super shocking. We all think this day might come sooner or later. Not that soon thou. Some of us might have even thought that IS or other extremists will not be bothered with Singapore. That is being complacent and should not go on.
I reckon it will be tough for the Government to
100% prevent them from coming into Singapore. We gotta stop taking safety for
granted. Be vigilant and not always have our eyes glued to our HPs. Watch out
for each other.
We can play a part by alerting authorities should
we notice or receive anything terror-related.
Together, let’s prevent them from infiltrating into local communities,
influencing non-extremists and potentially expanding the group.
Call the police immediately if you notice anything
suspicious or see anyone trying to spread any radical “philosophies”. Here’s a guide on identifying suspicious persons.

2. “Foreign workers are terrorists. Men with
beard are terrorists.”
OK, Let’s ban beards. Let’s send all foreigners back home and we shall build
BTOs and roads ourselves. Let’s all call whoever who wears bata shoes, Ah
gong.
Dear immature (thank god it’s a minority), these
radicals were the exception rather than the norm. Heng there were many sensible
Singaporeans who stood up against such insensitive and racist comments.
3. “One black sheep doesn’t represent all”
Thank god for clear minded Singaporeans. It is very
heartening to see many sharing to not be prejudiced towards foreign
workers. Watch how foreign workers feel about us
Singaporeans if you haven’t. Instead of ostracising, befriend them, welcome
them. What are the chances of you harm/kill people who treat you well vs people
who treat you like crap?
There are even Bangladeshi nationals who felt ashamed of their countrymen’s actions.
Do you think they had supported what the 27 radicals had
done? Definitely not.
4. “70% voted for this”
HUH? Why even bring in the political parties into the picture? It is
unbelievable that some are seeking to divide Singaporeans this way. These
people who brought politics or whom people voted for is doing exactly what terrorists
are doing – they want to divide the population. They want to divide people, no
matter be it by race, religion, or even whom we voted for. I believe, be
it the PAP or WP or SDP, they all wish for Singapore to have peace and
stability. We should be fighting terrorism together as one. Only then, we are
strong and powerful.
5. “Let us stand together, Singapore!”
To sum it up,
KEE CHIU! If you agree!
